Haigh Hall and Country Park - Copperas Lane, Wigan, Greater manchester WN2 1PE

Set in 350 acres of wood and parkland, Haigh Country Park is an ideal place for a family day out. Facilities include a model village, bouncy castle, play area, miniature railway, ladybird ride, mini golf, craft gallery, information centre, gift shop and cafeteria. The 18 hole golf course is probably one of the most scenic and challenging courses in the area. Haigh Hall is also a venue for conferences, meetings, dinners, wedding receptions and craft fairs.

From: M6, J27, 3 miles (4.8 km) Directions: M6, J27; follow A5209 to Standish and B5239 to Haigh. M61, J6; follow B5239 to Aspull and the park is signposted off this road.

From: Directions: Buses and Wigan Wallgate and North Western Train Station. Take A49 Northbound from Wigan Town Centre and follow for approximately 2 mile to the Boars Head pub, at roundabout take A5106 Chorley Road and then Red Rock Lane to the park entrance.
